Purpose: Established in 1965 as Green Thumb, and renamed Experience Works in 2002, this service puts the experience of older individuals to work. Experience Works strengthens our community’s families by providing older individuals with the opportunities to enhance their employability and life satisfaction. We provide business community with skilled, reliable, and experienced employees that help to maximize their competitiveness in a changing business environment.

 

Services:

Senior Community Service Employment Program – Through this program, job-ready seniors are placed directly into employment, while others benefit from training, counseling and community service assignments at nonprofit organizations and public agencies prior to transitioning into the workforce.

Experience Works Training Services – Experience Works offers a variety of technology-training services, where a combination of instructor led, facilitated, or self-paced computer-skills training is used. Also offered are a number of job-related training programs that include industry-specific programs.
