ABE/GED/Vocational Classes
(Adult Basic Education/General Equivalency Diploma)
Population served: Classes are offered at a variety of sites throughout the district at no charge to anyone needing services. Vocational classes are funded for anyone receiving public assistance.
Eligibility: Must be at least 16 years of age. (Students age 16 and 17 need special permission.)
Purpose of program: This program provides GED preparation classes to individuals who do not have a high school diploma or GED. Adult Education will cover tuition for up to 12 credit hours of vocational classes from an approved class listing for students receiving any type of public assistance.
Services available:
- GED books provided
- Tutoring available, one-on-one and/or small group setting through the Project PAL Volunteer Literacy Program.
- 12 credit hours of tuition for vocational classes.
