Population Served: Individuals receiving assistance from the Illinois Department of Human Services (DHS), Division of Rehabilitation Services (DRS).
Eligibility: Determined by DHS case ID number (Call to verify eligibility).
Purpose: This service is designed to provide DRS customers with professional counseling and guidance services that will restore them to maximum physical, mental, social, vocational and economic potential. The objective is to assist the customer with the development of job skills that prepares them for employment.
Services Available:
- Development of vocational, educational and employment plans.
- Counseling & guidance to customers and family members throughout the rehabilitation process.
- Arrange for assessments to determine the extent of the disability.
- Vocational assessments.
- Develop employment opportunities and place customers in suitable employment.
- On-the-job training.
- On-the-job evaluations.
