Target Population: All adults over the age of 18 living in LWA23* are eligible for core services. Priority for intensive and training services is given to economically disadvantaged individuals who meet the program’s financial eligibility requirements. In addition to unemployed adults, employed adults may be served if they are in need of services to obtain or retain employment that allows for self-sufficiency.
Program Description: The purpose of Adult programs under Title I of the Workforce Investment Act (WIA) is to provide services that increase the employment retention and earnings of the participants, and to increase their occupational skill attainment. This program aims to improve the quality of the workforce and enhance the productivity and competitiveness of the areas economy.
